Dr Kingshuk Dutta is currently affiliated with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Cornell University, USA. Prior to this appointment, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Principal Investigator in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology - Kharagpur, India. Earlier he obtained his BSc (Chemistry, 2006), BTech (Polymer Science and Technology, 2009), MTech (Polymer Science and Technology, 2011) and PhD (Polymer Science and Technology, 2016) degrees from the University of Calcutta, India. He has been a recipient of the prestigious SERB Indo-US Postdoctoral Fellowship, the SERB National Postdoctoral Fellowship, the CSIR Senior Research Fellowship, the GATE scholarship and the National Scholarship from the Government of India. His research interest at present is centered on the development, characterization and analysis of application potentials of novel polymer systems, polymer blends and polymer-polymer, polymer-ceramic and polymer-metal composites and membranes; and the fabrication and overall development of artificial energy harnessing and storage devices, such as fuel cells, solar cells, batteries and supercapacitors. In addition, he is highly interested in the development of functionalized charge membranes for application in wastewater treatment. To date, Kingshuk has authored 35 articles, seven book chapters and one book in internationally reputed platforms. His biography has been included thrice in the Marquis Who's Who in the World publications (2015, 2016 and 2018), twice in the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award (2017 and 2018), twice in the Top 100 Scientists by the International Biographical Centre (2015 and 2016), once in the Marquis Who's Who in Asia publication (2017) and once in the inaugural edition of the Great Men and Women of Science reference directory by the International Biographical Centre (2016). He has served as an editorial or review board member of the Austin Journal of Bioorganic and Organic Chemistry (2014-Present), the Journal of Materials Sciences and Applications (2015-2017), the Independent Journal of Management and Production (2015-Present), the World Journal of Applied Chemistry (2016-2017) and the Archives of Pure and Applied Chemistry (2017-Present). Kingshuk is a member of the International Association of Advanced Materials and the International Association for Hydrogen Energy, and has also served as reviewer/expert for several international journals, conferences and research funding bodies.
