Dr Prashant G.K. is an Associate Professor at Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, India. Previously, he has worked as an Assistant Professor at G.D. Goenka University, India (4yrs). He is a Doctorate from Department of Space Engineering and Rocketry at Birla Institute of Technology (Mesra), India, in 2017. He received his Master's of Engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology (Mesra), specializing in "Liquid Droplet Combustion", and his Bachelor degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Sathyabama University, India, where he completed his research work on "Navigation of a Surveillance Robot in a Structured Environment, Tele-operated through Computer", in collaboration with the Combat Vehicle and Research Development Establishment, a division of the Ministry of Defence. His recent research has mainly been carried out in the area of alternative fuels and the internal combustion engine, and alternate energy sources with improved energy utilization. He has developed an experimental setup for the visualization of droplet combustion and has actively participated in the upgrading of static rocket test facilities (Hybrid & Liquid). He has co-authored several contributions in renowned international journals, and serves as a reviewer for a few journals, including Environmental Science and Pollution Research and Applied Thermal Engineering.
