Dr Kaushalendra Kumar has more than six years of teaching, research and extension experience as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Nutrition at Bihar Veterinary College, India. He received his PhD degree in Animal Nutrition from the Indian Veterinary Research Institute in 2011. His PhD work was on phytochemicals and the rumen microbes relationship. His areas of expertise include ruminant nutrition, non-ruminant nutrition, rumen microbiology, feed additives and supplements, and unconventional feed resources including nutritional biotechnology. He has guided three postgraduate students as a major advisor and is a member of different departments' postgraduate advisory committees. Kaushalendra is a life member of four scientific associations. He is the author of more than 25 research papers, four laboratory manuals and has edited three books, 12 book chapters and 24 technical articles. He is a member of eight scientific and editorial committees and is also a reviewer of international impact journals. He is recipient of awards including the Dr. S.K. Talpatra award for best PhD scholar in the department, the Best Researcher Award at University level, and two Best Paper Awards at conferences and symposia.
