This month’s ‘Young Scholar’ is Dr Marek Pawlicki. Under Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Marek has authored: Between Illusionism and Anti-Illusionism: Self-Reflexivity in the Chosen Novels of J. M. Coetzee
Dr Marek Pawlicki graduated from the Institute of English Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, in 2008. He completed his PhD studies in 2012, with a thesis entitled “Self-Reflexivity in the Works of J. M. Coetzee.” He currently works at the Jagiellonian University and at the Neophilological Institute of the State School of Higher Education in Oświęcim. His current research interests include the works of J.M. Coetzee, Nadine Gordimer and self-reflexivity in contemporary Anglo-American fiction.
He describes the experience of publishing with Cambridge Scholars Publishing:
“Showing my dissertation to the editors of Cambridge Scholars Publishing was certainly one of the best decisions I have taken in my academic career so far. The cooperation with the editors was smooth and efficient, and I was happy to have the book in my hands just two months after sending in the final draft. I am very satisfied with the design of the book, especially the front cover, which was praised by many of my colleagues. Publishing with Cambridge Scholars Publishing is probably the fastest and most convenient way of reaching an international audience.”
