Toon Kerkhoff is Assistant Professor of Public Administration at Leiden University, the Netherlands. His research and teaching are focused on political-administrative history, particularly bureaucratization, civil service reform, and government advisory systems, as well as corruption, integrity management, public ethics and public values.Ronald Kroeze is Associate Professor of History at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he teaches courses on the history of democracy, corruption, modern Europe and global justice. His research focuses on the history of governance, political corruption, and anti-corruption, as well as oral histories and the history of management, finance and leadership, and colonial corruption. Pieter Wagenaar is Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research and teaching cover topics such as administrative history and the management of cultural heritage.Michel Hoenderboom defended his PhD dissertation at the Department of Public Administration of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. After his doctoral research, he became a Lecturer and Researcher in Public Administration for several years. His research interests include early modern history, administrative history and the history of corruption.
