Dr George Domazetis obtained his PhD in organometallic chemistry at La Trobe University, Australia. He was then a teaching Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Canada, a Research Fellow at the Australian National University, and a Group Leader and Project Manager in the Brown Coal Research Division of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Australia.
He has developed a technology for low-rank coal processing, and undertook a collaborative R&D Program at La Trobe University. Currently, he is Honorary Research Fellow at La Trobe University. He has carried out research on low-rank coals for more than 30 years, is the inventor of a processing technology for low-rank coals, and is pursuing the development and commercialisation of clean coal fuelled power generation with a zero-emissions trajectory through his company Clean Coal Technology Pty Ltd.
George is the author of more than 40 publications, as well as numerous company reports dealing with processing low-rank coal into high quality fuel for high efficiency power generation.
