Sattar Izwaini received his PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK. He is an Assistant Professor at the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, where he acted as the coordinator of the MA program in Translation from 2011 to 2014. He has taught languages, linguistics and translation at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Britain and the Arab World. His research interests include corpus-based translation studies; audiovisual translation; contrastive linguistics and translation; terminology; localization; and machine translation.
