Vittorio Hösle, b. 1960 in Milan, is the founding director of the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study and the Paul Kimball Professor of Arts and Letters in the Department of German and Russian at the University of Notre Dame as well as Concurrent Professor of Philosophy and Political Science. His books have appeared in 20 languages. In English his main works are: Morals and Politics, 2004; Woody Allen, 2007; The Philosophical Dialogue, 2012; and God as Reason, 2013. He has co-edited Darwinism and Philosophy, 2005; and edited The Many Faces of Beauty, 2013.
